SportsHotels.com announces partnership with the British Universities Ice Hockey Association as Official Accommodation Partner

SportsHotels.com is proud to announce a new partnership with the British Universities Ice Hockey Association (BUIHA), joining as the Association’s Official Accommodation Partner.

As a specialist sports accommodation platform, SportsHotels.com is dedicated to supporting athletes, teams, and governing bodies across the UK. We provide access to affordable, high-quality hotels, flexible booking options, and seamless group-travel management – all designed to make sports travel easier, cheaper, and better for everyone involved, whether at grassroots or elite level.

Through this partnership, BUIHA members, athletes, teams, and supporters will gain access to exclusive savings of up to 40% at more than one million hotels worldwide. This will help make travel more affordable and accessible for university ice hockey players throughout the UK.

With fixtures, tournaments, and national finals taking place across the academic year, travel is a core part of university ice hockey. Our collaboration with the BUIHA aims to make that travel simpler, more flexible, and better value – from organising group accommodation for away games to securing stays for major events such as Nationals.

Stephen Carlin, CEO at SportsHotels.com, said:

“We are passionate about supporting grassroots and university sport, and ice hockey has one of the most dedicated and close-knit communities in the country. We’re proud to partner with the BUIHA to help make travel simpler and more affordable for players, coaches, and supporters alike.

University sport plays such an important role in developing talent and fostering lifelong participation – and we’re delighted to be part of that journey.”

Nick Ivill, Head of Operations of BUIHA, said:

“We’re delighted to be partnering with SportsHotels.com to make travel easier and more affordable for everyone involved in university ice hockey. Our players and teams travel extensively throughout the season and having a trusted partner who truly understands the needs of university sport is invaluable.

We’re always looking for ways to enhance the student hockey experience, and working with SportsHotels.com is another great step in supporting our community both on and off the ice. This partnership will provide real benefits to our members, helping reduce the financial pressures of travel while improving the overall experience for players, coaches, and supporters alike.”

Through this partnership, SportsHotels.com and BUIHA reaffirm their shared goal: to remove barriers to participation, strengthen the community, and ensure the sport continues to thrive.
